Benefits and use cases of multiprotocol connectivity for IoT applications.

The Internet of Things enables a more connected world as billions of devices communicate wirelessly with end users and the cloud. These connected devices leverage multiple wireless technologies, from Bluetooth low energy to zigbee and Thread for mesh networks to a wide range of proprietary protocols. To simplify IoT design, Silicon Labs has expanded its Wireless Gecko system-on-chip (SoC) portfolio to support advanced wireless switching capabilities, enabling a single SoC device to seamlessly support standards-based and proprietary protocols. In this presentation, Skip Ashton, Vice President of Software at Silicon Labs, explains the benefits and use cases of multiprotocol connectivity for IoT applications.
