Make your IoT computing efficient and secure

Cloud, Edge and Fog computing is everywhere and everybody is talking about it. In industrial surroundings traditional server approaches cannot provide the required robustness for operation in harsh industrial environments. Several Computer-on-Modules concepts can help here to provide the regarding durability and robustness for different approaches in an inhomogeneous network. Especially SMARC modules can be used as network low level knot or work as data concentrators quite near the data generators (sensors). Where COM Express Type 7 can reach to higher levels according to its computing power, SMARC will concentrate on the lower levels and support the higher levels of Cloud, Fog and Edge computing from the base.

In this webinar you will learn how modular systems based on the tested SMARC Computer-on-Modules provide an efficient solution and for which applications SMARC is the right answer offering the perfect fit for IOT computing. Additionally you will get insights in current topics of security requirements and how to meet them.

Speaker

  • Martin Unverdorben is Product Manager for Computer-on-Modules. Started as Field Application engineer, he is responsible for the SMARC and ETX product line at Kontron. He used to be the editor of the COM Express design guide and is currently the chairman of SDT.01 (SMARC specification group) at SGET.
